Yan Gu is a senior research assistant of Fanhai International School of Finance, Fudan University. After he earned his Ph.D. in Applied Economics from Fudan University, he worked as a post-doctoral research fellow in Theoretical Economics there.

Doctor Gu’s research interests include Corporate Finance, Macroeconomics, and International Trade. His academic research has been published in Chinese authoritative journals including The Journal of World Economy, Journal of Financial Research, The Journal of Quantitative & Technical Economics, Journal of International Trade, etc. His think tank reports have been adopted by Shanghai Philosophy and Social Sciences Planning Office many times and referred to by the main leaders of the Municipal Committee. He presided over the first-class projects funded by the China Post-doctoral Science Foundation and participated in the projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the key research bases of Humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of Education, the key research topics in the early stage of the 13th Five-Year Plan of the Shanghai Development and Reform Commission, and the topics of the Shanghai Financial Society.

He was awarded the first prize of the Eighth Excellent Financial Research Academic Papers of Guangdong Finance Society and the second prize of the major issues in the 13th Five-Year Plan of Shanghai.
